"I am a complete beginner, can I still join the Actors House acting course?"

Absolutely! If you have a little experience, zero experience or you are coming back to acting after some time, the Acting For Theatre & Film – course (AH1) will be the perfect fit for you. The course has been carefully crafted and constructed, allowing you to learn about the fascinating craft of acting through different techniques and exercises and is accessible to all.

"How much does it cost?"

The Group adult acting courses start at £199 for ten weeks.

Most courses are 10-12 weeks long and we ask you pay in full for the term.

Teens group acting classes work out at £16.50 per 90minute session, this is also booked by payment in full.

Private singing and acting lessons range from £35-£50

"I'm looking to gain some confidence at work with presentations, would these classes be any good for me?"

Yes they would. Much of the work we do looks at confidence building, taking risks and encouraging you to play without being worried about making a mistake.

To present well, being vocally sound and physically sound is key. Within these classes we work very hard on vocal strength and projection and offer many great vocal exercises, which you can take away with you. We also work on your physicality and look at how we can improve posture and presence.

"I'm 65 years old, am I too old to join?"

Absolutely not! The adult acting classes have no age limit.  We enjoy working with students from the age of 18yrs – 100yrs! If you are younger than 18yrs we do have a teens acting class.

We work with students who attend for recreational purposes as well as students who attend for professional reasons, those who are going on to train or work in the business.  Whichever reason you are looking to join us for we can assure you that you will have huge amounts of fun whilst learning the craft of acting in a room full of like-minding people, in a non-judgemental and safe environment.

"I would like to audition to drama school, can you help?"

Yes we can. We have many successful students who have gained places at some of the leading drama schools in the U.K. having been training with us for a while. We always advise you to join our – Acting For Theatre & Film course at the very least.   We would then advise you join any audition technique workshops we run along side some 121 lessons so that you get detailed work done on your audition pieces both on the monologue’s and on the audition songs.

It is never too early to start preparing for drama school auditions. The requirements are gigantic and the competition is fierce.

“I am a professionally trained actor, are any of your courses right for me?”

Yes. It maybe that you will have touched on or trained in some of the techniques studied in the – Acting For Theatre & Film course (AH1).  In which case you can be fast tracked to our other follow on or Professional courses. These courses are by invite only so we would look at your CV, have a chat with you on the phone and then decide which course would be right for you. The best actors know to keep training so make sure you join us to keep your juices flowing!

“I absolutely love singing but I’m not sure if I’m any good.  Is if worth a try?”

Of course! If I had it my way the whole world would learn to sing. It’s the most joyous, expressive, stress-relieving thing you can do!! You can book in a lesson, get some professional advice and then see if its something you want to have a go at on a regular basis.

“My daughter is only 6yrs old and obsessed with singing.  Is she too young to start lessons?”

No. There is so much you can start learning at 6yrs old in terms of musicality and rhythm. She can slowly start to understand the voice and what it can do whilst being guided in a really safe way. All our singing teachers are trained to teach young children and always make the lessons fun and engaging. It is best to start with 30 minute weekly or fortnightly lessons at this age so they get used to the repetition.

I have a professional audition, can you help me with my material?

Of course. If it is a self-tape we can rehearse you, direct you and film you within the session.

If it is a musical theatre audition we can help you pick the perfect song, rehearse it and work on it so it is audition ready for you.

I live in Spain, how can I get involved in your school?

By the power of Zoom! One good thing about lockdown was that we opened up our training to the whole world!  We run a weekly online group acting class – Zoom International. We have adapted our teaching to run smoothly online giving you all the aspects of a face-to-face lesson but from the comfort of your own home. You can join us from anywhere!
